Global Symposium on Connected Vehicles and Infrastructure

The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) is pleased to be working with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) to host the first Global Symposium on Connected Vehicle and Connected Infrastructure.

This three-day event runs from May 14-16, 2013 and promises to bring together leading industry, academic and government experts to discuss and strategize how connected technology is transforming the transportation industry.   This conference will have global reach and will share best practices from around the world.

David Strickland, Administrator, National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), will kick-off this industry leading event.

In addition to distinguished speakers and panel discussions covering issues including, policy, technology deployment, the event will include opportunities to meet with UMTRI researchers to learn about our ongoing research and an opportunity to tour the Ann Arbor connected technology deployment area.
